State Testing and Book Fair

Sorry it has been a couple of weeks since the last posting!  We have been very busy here at Goforth Elementary!  State testing has was given to the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders and everyone at the school is helping out to support our students and their success.  That includes bathroom monitoring, cafeteria monitoring, small group and relief for our teachers when they need it.  It is a huge collaborative effort!

With that being said we are well into our 3rd day of our Scholastic Book Fair!  Our library has been transformed into a STORY LABORATORY!!!  Books are READIOACTIVE!!!

Students have been trying to guess how many READIOACTIVE COSMIC CHEDDAR CHEESE PUFFS there are in the jar.  The winner will be announced on Friday and they will win the entire jar of them!

Monday morning we hosted PASTRIES FOR PARENTS and we had a nice turn out from parents and students.  We also had early voting being held at our school.

Last Wednesday night was FAMILY NIGHT at the book fair!  We had the GOLDEN GRILLED CHEESE food truck and KONA ICE come and we showed a fun movie!

Both trucks were a hit!!

And a huge thanks to our PTA parent Mrs. Foreman, who jumped into the KONA ICE truck to help out!

I think that all our families had a great time!

Even Mrs. Noel, our principal, had some fun!

Our book fair that night was packed!  Thanks to all that attended and supported our library!

And it would not have been the success it was without all of the WONDERFUL volunteers!
A very special shout out to Mrs. Seybert, Mrs. Foreman and Mrs. Orff for all your help!
